Fighting for fair trade policies between U.S. and the EU

For years, corporate interests in the U.S. and Europe have pushed for a deal that would chill consumer, environmental and other protections on both sides of the Atlantic. Negotiations for a “Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP)” have been on hold since 2016, but new discussions are underway that could revive its damaging corporate-rigged agenda.

Big Tech hopes to use the recently launched U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) to weaken Europe's privacy protections and anti-monopoly regulations, and to prevent future tech regulation in the U.S.
