Tax breaks, grants, and lending programs have sent major windfalls big businesses, many of whom received relief program funds despite failing to protect their workers and acting against the public interest during the pandemic. Corporations that received government dollars during this global crisis should be held to the highest standards of corporate accountability to ensure that government dollars go to support jobs and revitalize our economy, not enrich CEOs and shareholders.
