Protest of Southeast Energy Exchange Market Agreement
By Tyson Slocum
Fourteen different electric utilities – including Southern Co, Dominion, Louisville Gas and Electric, Duke Energy & Kentucky Utilities – filed at least twelve separately docketed filings seeking permission from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to create a Southeast Energy Exchange Market Agreement under Section 205 of the Federal Power Act. Public Citizen requests the Commission to consolidate the twelve dockets. In addition, we protest the filing because the failure to include any non-utility stakeholders as voting members of the new Energy Exchange Market is unjust and unreasonable. The Protest is filed in FERC Dockets ER21-1111, ER21-1112, ER21-1114, ER21-1115, ER21-1116, ER21-1117, ER21-1118, ER21-1119, ER21-1120, ER21-1121, ER21-1125 & ER21-1128. Read the filing here: SEEM
