Working to curb the opioid addiction crisis

Public Citizen works with other consumer advocacy groups, addiction treatment providers, professional groups, and community-based drug and alcohol prevention programs to curb the opioid addiction crisis. We advocate a new FDA regulatory framework for approving opioids that is based on broader public health considerations.

Our Work

Our doctors and medical experts analyze data, petition the government and do media outreach to stop dangerous – and sometimes fatal – opioids from getting on the market.
