Round 18: Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
July 15-24, 2013
Officials from all participating countries of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) convened in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on Monday, July 15, for the 18th round of TPP negotiations, with Japan participating for the first time in the talks. This round of negotiations ended on July 25th.

July 14, 2013 – Flashmob on Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu
July 16, 2013 – Demonstration, submission of memorandum and press conference at Malaysian Parliament in Kuala Lumpur mainly comprised of workers groups. Still waiting for reports to come out.
July 19, 2013 – Kuala Lumpur, some groups to march in the afternoon to Ministry of International Trade and Industry to demonstrate.
July 19, 2013 – Kota Kinabalu workshop on TPPA and access to medicine/HIV medicine, organised by Positive Malaysian Treatment Access and Advocacy Group @ Cititel.Hotel (A intro-level workshop for local groups.)
July 20, 2013 – Stakeholder Forum and Stakeholder Briefing
July 20, 2013 – Flashmob/protest rally protest near Sutera Habour Resort
July 21, 2013 – Open Forum on TPPA (Venue to be confirmed): Several local and KL-based groups
July 23, 2013 – Local and KL-based group to hold a press conference on TPPA
The Anti-FTA Coalition demonstrated outside Parliament and submitted a memorandum to MPs in the hope that the controversial TPPA be postponed and its negotiations made transparent.
