Stopping unfair monopolies and anticompetitive abuses
Competition laws were enacted to stop the harm monopolies cause to people and our democracy. However, those laws have been weakened over time by the courts and lax enforcement. To foster more robust competition, the U.S. must scrutinize and block mergers that create corporate monopolies to prevent companies from becoming so big that they stifle innovation.
Our Work
To prevent companies from monopolizing the market, we work to strengthen competition laws and rules and ensure they are rigorously enforced.
