What you should know about clean cars
The transportation sector is the biggest source of greenhouse gas pollution in the U.S. It’s also a major source of smog, causing heart disease, asthma, and other respiratory illness in our communities. We need a faster transition to electric vehicles to stop the climate crisis and boost our families’ health.
Auto manufacturers must ramp up electric vehicle production to protect public health and our climate. Public Citizen is advocating for 100% electric passenger vehicles by 2030, and for stronger fuel economy and greenhouse gas emissions standards to deliver the clean, fuel-efficient cars that we want and need.
