Tyson Slocum discusses El Paso Electric with El Paso Times

Tyson Slocum, Energy Program director for Public Citizen, a liberal, not-for-profit consumer watchdog organization based in Washington, D.C., doesn’t see the PUC stipulation agreement changing much in regard to J.P. Morgan’s influence on IIF.
“Acknowledging J.P. Morgan as an affiliate is simply acknowledging the facts,” Slocum said. “The arm’s length standards may curtail J.P. Morgan selling its services to El Paso Electric, but it doesn’t stop El Paso Electric serving as a financial platform for J.P. Morgan’s other (investment) activities.”
