Stop the NAFTA Trucks
The Teamsters Union brought about 500 members to the federal courthouse steps in San Francisco yesterday. Inside, the appeals court was hearing arguments in a lawsuit brought by Public Citizen, the Teamsters and other groups against the Bush administration’s pilot program for NAFTA trucks. Plenty of fodder on the blogosphere, including a new Public Citizen campaign, Stop Nafta Trucks.
The Working Life, a blog published by the Labor Research Association, reported from Tuesday’s rally: Seven Teamster trucks circled the block and blared their air horns as Teamsters cheered and chanted “We Are Teamsters!” and “Fire Mary Peters!”
