Public Citizen Raises Concerns About Ownership of Longview Coal Power Plant
As the Longview coal plant enters bankruptcy for a 2nd time, Public Citizen wants public ID of owners

On June 19, 2020, Public Citizen filed a protest at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission demanding the public identification of the owners of the Longview Power coal plant in West Virginia. The protest is of a June 3 Application under Section 203 of the Federal Power Act involving a transfer of ownership to senior secured lenders through a debt-for-equity swap stemming from Longview Power declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 14. Owners controlling over 40% of the new equity are concealed, and Public Citizen is requesting that their identities be made public. Read the filing here:
