Public Interest Groups Submit Comments to NIH on Proposed Access Planning Policy
On May 22, 2024, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Science Policy requested comments on its proposal to “develop and implement a new policy within its Intramural Research Program (IRP) to promote access to products stemming from taxpayer-funded inventions”.
NIH sought input on its draft policy and related changes to its standard license agreements to “incorporate patient access in the commercialization process for NIH-owned inventions”.
