David Rosen is a communications officer for Public Citizen, the Clean Budget Coalition and the Coalition for Sensible Safeguards. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Rosen holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Tufts University as well as master’s degrees in political management and political psychology from George Washington University. Early in his career, Rosen served as a senior campaign strategist on state legislative races in Michigan and Texas. He moved to Washington, D.C., in 2007 and managed the Government Accountability Project’s individual giving program for four years. In addition, he worked as a messaging strategist at Media Matters Action Network and vetted candidates for D.C.’s top political staffing firm. Before joining Public Citizen, Rosen founded a consultancy specializing in the strategic applications of political psychology and generational theory. Currently the longest serving member of the communications department, he has worked at Public Citizen since 2015.
