Press Conference: House to Introduce Legislation Protecting Workers From Heat

WHAT: A Wednesday morning press conference at which U.S. Reps. Judy Chu (D-Calif.), Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.), Alma Adams (D-N.C.) and members of the U.S. House Education and Labor Committee will introduce legislation requiring the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration to promulgate a heat stress standard. Public interest leaders will discuss the impacts of workplace heat and their nationwide campaign to protect outdoor and indoor workers from the climate crisis.
