Good Riddance to PhRMA CEO Steve Ubl
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) announced its longtime CEO Steve Ubl will step down by the end of 2026.
Public Citizen Access to Medicines Director Peter Maybarduk issued the following statement:
“Steve Ubl helped drugmakers take money out of family’s pockets and made a rich lifestyle for himself by blocking medicine affordability. He lost when it counted, though, and now Medicare price negotiation is saving taxpayers billions each year. May this ‘Pharma Bro’ be one of the last of his bloodsucking kind.”
