Voting Rights Internship 2024 – Presidents Office

Voting Rights Campus Interns in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin

2024 is a very important election year in the United States.

In this critical moment for our democracy, we must make sure that Americans are able to make their voices heard.

We are looking for interns to join us for non-partisan activities in key states to:

  1. Help make sure students are registered to vote and ensure they vote and otherwise participate in the election (i.e. work as poll workers).
  2. Educate students about threats to our democracy, and how to advance and expand voting rights.

Don’t worry if this would be your first time organizing. We provide training and support!

Responsibilities:

You’ll be working closely with our democracy-campaign leaders and state-based organizations to support voter education and engagement around state initiatives and to encourage students and community members to make sure to vote.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Educating students about threats to our democracy, and how to advance and expand voting rights.
  • Helping students register to vote, and sharing information about opportunities to help as poll workers and election protection volunteers.
  • Distributing voting information on your campuses and gathering pledges to vote.
  • Reaching out to professors, your campus administration, student government, campus media, and other student leadership to ask for their assistance in getting voter information out to students.
  • Engaging in community activities to educate your campus on democracy-related issues, including passing out materials and talking to voters and participating in press events and rallies.
  • Reaching out to voters in your state to educate them about issues related to voting rights in the state.
  • Collaborating with organizations on your campus to conduct these activities.
  • Conducting social media and online outreach to build campaign visibility and assisting with press outreach and events.
  • Working 12-15 hours/week on these activities.

This is a chance to truly play an active role in making an impact in our nation’s history!
