Ami Gadhia
Chief of Staff
Ami Gadhia is Public Citizen’s Chief of Staff. In this role, she helps Public Citizen’s staff and systems to do their best work.
Ami comes to Public Citizen with 20 years of experience in public interest and public health policy and advocacy, strategy, team building, and nonprofit leadership. Before joining Public Citizen, Ami was Senior Director of Policy and Partnerships with the Campaign for Our Shared Future; Chief of Policy, Research, and Programs at Child Care Aware® of America; Director of Federal Advocacy and Regulatory Affairs at the American Academy of Pediatrics; and Senior Policy Counsel with Consumer Reports. A former practicing attorney, she is a member of the Connecticut and New York State Bars. She received her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University.
