The good people of Iowa and New Hampshire can thank corporate America for making sure their airwaves and mailboxes were jammed this week with messages from the presidential candidates.

When it comes to raising money for their campaigns, presidential candidates rely heavily on “bundlers,” a chummy group of fundraisers who this campaign season have raised untold millions of dollars for their candidates.

A recent study by Public Citizen and the Campaign Finance Institute found that more than half of the bundlers hailed from just three segments of American Big Business: lawyers and law firms, representing both corporate and consumer interests; the financial sector; and real estate.
