Panel Discussion Will Educate Citizens on Pressing Need for Reinstatement of Glass-Steagall and Prudent Banking Act
WHAT: Webinar and panel discussion on pushing the U.S. Congress to approve legislation that would break up too-big-to-fail banks and protect our economy from another recession.
The participants will discuss how to mobilize people around reinstating and expanding sponsorship of the Prudent Banking Act of 1933 in the U.S. House of Representatives and the 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act in the U.S. Senate. The event will provide direction to activists to collect signatures to present to elected representatives.
The webinar will be co-sponsored by Public Citizen and Americans for Financial Reform, hosted by the AFL-CIO and facilitated by Our Revolution.
