Senate Budget Resolution Good for the Ultra-Wealthy, Bad for Everyone Else
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senate Republicans today released their budget resolution blueprint as a first step toward a reconciliation bill. Lisa Gilbert, co-president of Public Citizen, released the following statement:
“As has become par for the course, Republicans have chosen to prioritize the Trump-Musk agenda of picking the pockets of everyday people to shower billionaires with tax giveaways.
“This budget resolution guts services that working people rely upon as a matter of life and death in order to gift people like Elon Musk and Trump’s other ultra-wealthy donors with tax handouts they don’t need. This resolution should be a non-starter.”
