Sen. Corker's idea of consumer protection? Not so much
Keith Olberman points out that one Republican senator who seemed willing to support financial reform and the creation of a Consumer Financial Protection Agency is now standing down:
Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker says he cannot support it because it gives consumers too much protection!
Olberman’s guest, Rep. Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, says:
I don’t think the American people want to see a consumer agency that has to check with the bank’s supporters before it does anything.
