Resignations Prove It’s Time to End Musk/Trump Spree of Destruction
WASHINGTON — More than 20 staffers of the U.S. Digital Service resigned today according to reports from the Associated Press. In their resignation letter, the staffers wrote that “We swore to serve the American people and uphold our oath to the Constitution across presidential administrations… …However, it has become clear that we can no longer honor those commitments,” according to the report. In response, Lisa Gilbert, co-president of Public Citizen, issued the following statement:
“We knew from the outset that DOGE was a scam designed to dismantle the programs Americans depended on for safety and fairness, and this mass resignation proves exactly that. It’s time for all of us to stand up and constrain this out-of-control spree of destruction by Trump and Musk before the damage becomes irreparable.”
