New Report: ‘Todd Blanche & The Epstein Files: A Timeline’
Citing Report, Public Citizen Calls for Rejecting Todd Blanche Over Disqualifying Conflicts of Interest
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Public Citizen published a new report, “Todd Blanche & The Epstein Files: A Timeline,” days after the Justice Department under Blanche refused to comply with a court deadline to release more unredacted Epstein files. The report has been released just over a week ahead of Blanche’s Senate confirmation hearing as Attorney General scheduled for July 15th.
“Todd Blanche is absolutely unfit to serve as Attorney General – he has undermined the independence of the Justice Department through politically motivated indictments, blatant coverups, and the obstruction of justice at the highest level of government,” said Lisa Gilbert, co-president of Public Citizen, adding: “This man is deeply unethical and has endless conflicts of interest, and has repeatedly demonstrated that his loyalty lies with Donald Trump personally, and not with the rule of law. He simply has no business holding public office at all, let alone the highest law enforcement role in the entire government.”
The report also provides an overview of Blanche’s role as a criminal defense attorney for Donald Trump, from the Stormy Daniels “hush money” and election obstruction cases, to the misuse of classified documents.
