More Than 100,000 People Join Post-Election Mobilization Call
Mobilize Website Crashes Due to High Attendance
Washington D.C. — On Thursday night, more than 100,000 people attended “Making Meaning of the Moment,” a progressive mobilization call to navigate the political landscape of the next four years. The meeting’s high turnout crashed the organizing platform Mobilize, and the recording has been viewed more than 135,000 times.

The event focused on movement building and featured more than 200 organizations and several key organizing voices:
- Rahna Epting, executive director, MoveOn.org
- Leah Greenberg, co-founder and co-executive Director, Indivisible Project
- Maurice Mitchell, national director, Working Families Party
- Lisa Gilbert, co-president, Public Citizen
- Ash-Lee Woodard Henderson, organizer, activist and movement strategist
- Rep. Pramila Jayapal, U.S. House of Representatives
As of Friday morning, over 8,000 people have signed up to host a “Worth Fighting For” community gathering event to continue the mobilization effort.
