Military-Style Force Against Peaceful Protestors Has No Place in America
WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Friday, SEIU California president David Huerta was arrested and injured during a peaceful protest against ICE immigration raids in Los Angeles.
Lisa Gilbert, co-president of Public Citizen, issued the following statement in response:
“Military style force against peaceful protesters has no place in America. To be clear, ICE injured and detained the president of SEIU California for peacefully observing. Public Citizen stands with David Huerta and SEIU CA.”
