MEDIA ADVISORY: Public Citizen to Testify Before Congress on How Regulations Protect Americans
WHAT: Amit Narang, regulatory policy advocate for Public Citizen’s Congress Watch division, will speak at a hearing convened by the U.S. House Judiciary Executive Overreach Task Force. Narang will show how regulatory safeguards have benefited our economy, protected working families, increased wages and helped spur new industries that created high-paying jobs. In addition, he will point out ways in which our regulatory system can be strengthened by fixing excessive delays in the regulatory process and enhancing regulatory enforcement. Finally, he will rebut some of the more outlandish and inflammatory claims made by committee members and other panelists who oppose a strong system of public protections.
