Government Watchdog Groups Call on House Leaders to Initiate an Ethics Committee Investigation into Congressional Travel Abuses
Washington, D.C. — A nonpartisan, ideologically diverse group of six government watchdog groups today sent a letter to House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) and Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) requesting that the leaders of both parties initiate an investigation into recent allegations of congressional travel abuses.
