Day in Court: Arguing Attorney Fees in Prestigious Pets Case in Texas

WHAT: Argument before the 160th District Court of Dallas County to settle attorney fees in a Dallas pet-sitting lawsuit.

In August, the court dismissed a lawsuit against a Texas couple who were being sued for criticizing the pet-sitting company Prestigious Pets on Yelp. The judge dismissed both a libel claim and a non-disparagement clause claim and held that the couple – Robert and Michelle Duchouquette – would be awarded attorney fees as well as sanctions to deter future such lawsuits.

Public Citizen attorney Paul Alan Levy and co-counsel from Thompson and Knight will appear in court to request that the Duchouquettes be awarded their reasonable attorney fees as well as sanctions to deter future such lawsuits. Learn more about the case.

WHEN: 8:30 a.m. CST Tuesday, Nov. 29

WHERE: 160th Judicial District Court, 600 Commerce St. #640, Dallas, Texas

WHO: Paul Alan Levy, attorney, Public Citizen
