Cantor to Head PhRMA
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former U.S. House Speaker Eric Cantor was named president and CEO of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) today. Peter Maybarduk, Access to Medicines director for Public Citizen, issued the following statement:
“This is a match made in hell. Cantor, like PhRMA, is an experienced reverse Robin Hood, legislating money away from working families and toward giant corporations. We look forward to beating them both, on the path to affordable medicine for all.”
