April 1: D.C. Fair Elections Campaign Kickoff

WHAT: The D.C. Fair Elections coalition is hosting a campaign kickoff event. Councilmember David Grosso – who introduced the D.C. Fair Elections legislation on March 21 – will be a guest speaker. District residents will celebrate the introductory milestone, listen to community leaders and councilmembers, and plan action steps for the coming months to pass D.C. Fair Elections in the District.

The D.C. Fair Elections bill – which was introduced with overwhelming councilmember support – is a small donor public financing bill to make funding available to candidates who seek small donations and reject large contributions from Big Business.
