Press Call on Tuesday: Lawmakers, Health Experts and Others Highlight Merits of Single-Payer Health Care

On Eve of Sen. Sanders’ Introduction of Legislation, Public Citizen, Other Groups Call for Guaranteed Universal Coverage

WHAT: Press call on the merits of single-payer health care, in advance of the introduction by U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) Medicare-for-All legislation.The call will feature lawmakers, health experts and others who need and want single-payer health care. They will outline what a guaranteed universal coverage system could accomplish, how it would impact the health care industry and how it would reach people at all levels of need – including those who are low-income, living with disabilities, housing-insecure and others.
