Public Citizen v. National Park Service

In April 2026, Public Citizen submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the National Park Service seeking documents related to the establishment of a nonprofit group through which the Trump administration and its allies raised money for 250th anniversary events outside the public spotlight. After the National Park Service failed to respond to the request within the statutory deadline, we sued to compel the production of the requested records.
