Public Citizen v. ICE

“Operation ICE Wall” is an operation of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that, according to ICE, targets aliens operating commercial vehicles. As a result of Operation ICE Wall, immigrant truck drivers have been unlawfully arrested and detained by ICE.

In July 2026, Public Citizen submitted a FOIA request to ICE seeking records about Operation ICE Wall. After ICE failed to respond within the statutory deadline, we sued to compel the production of the requested records.
