Public Citizen v. Department of Housing and Urban Development

On January 31, 2025, Public Citizen submitted a FOIA request to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for records relating to HUD’s use of non-governmental entities to conduct government communications. HUD failed to produce any requested records. In April 2025, Public Citizen filed suit, seeking to compel HUD to produce the requested records. After Public Citizen sued, HUD produced the requested documents.
