McMann v. Doe

The anonymous operator of an Internet gripe site was sued by a Massachusetts real estate developer’s lawsuit against. The developer sought a subpoena seeking the owner’s identity. Representing the anonymous site owner, we moved to quash. The court agreed that the developer had failed to substantiate his claims and dismissed the case.

The developer subsequently filed a complaint with the World International Property Organization in an attempt to take control of the domain name. We again represented the gripe site owner. The WIPO denied the complaint.
