Grayson v. AT&T

This appeal presented the question whether uninjured consumers have standing to bring representative actions in the District of Columbia courts under the D.C. Consumer Protection Procedures Act (CPPA). Appearing as amicus curiae,we argued that neither the Superior Court nor the D.C. Court or Appeals is limited by Article III justiciability principles. The DC Court of Appeals held otherwise, stating that the DC Council did not change prior standing requirements when it amended the CPPA in 2000.
