Campaign Legal Center v. U.S. Office of Government Ethics
Early in President Trump’s second term, he established the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffed by various individuals from outside of government. In June 2025, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics seeking information relating to that Office’s exercise of responsibility with respect to DOGE individuals. When after several months CLC had received no response to the requests, we filed suit on CLC’s behalf to compel production of the requested records.
