Presentation at the FDA’s Virtual Listening Session With Antidepressant Petitioners
In its presentation at the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) private, virtual listening session with individuals/organizations that submitted citizen petitions regarding antidepressants, Public Citizen discussed its Nov. 17, 2025, petition regarding pregnancy warnings for serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SRIs). Particularly, we urged the agency to implement balanced, evidence-based warnings for these drugs and require new studies to address the current uncertainty about their effects on exposed offspring.
