Follow-up Letters to Twenty Hospitals and Medical Institutions That Are or Were Partnered With HealthFair

Public Citizen today applauded the decision of three hospitals to end their partnerships with HealthFair (Dignity Health-California Hospital Medical Center, Dignity Health-St. Bernardine Medical Center, Memorial Healthcare System) and again urged 17 other hospitals and medical institutions in eight states to sever their relationships with the company because the its heavily promoted, community-wide cardiovascular health screening programs are unethical and are much more likely to do harm than good. A growing chorus of medical experts and leaders of prominent professional medical organizations are voicing strong opposition to HealthFair’s screening programs.
