On June 3, the R Street Institute, Public Citizen and dozens of organizations and individuals from civil society sent a letter to Sens. Tillis and Coons in opposition to draft legislation that would permit the patenting of genes, natural laws and products of nature. The groups and individuals instead to join colleagues in advancing legislation that would help lower prescription drug prices and expand access to affordable medicines.
