We represented the Center for Auto Safety, Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety, The Trauma Foundation and Consumer Federation of America, in a petition challenging rules that seek to categorically exempt data that the industry submits to the government to provide an “early warning” of serious defects in automobiles. This issue was later successfully addressed in litigation called Public Citizen v. Peters.
