AI Policy and Advocacy Interns
AI Policy and Advocacy Internship
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is evolving rapidly. It is being integrated into every part of our society. Guardrails are needed to protect people from the risks and harms of AI technology.
The big tech lobby is working hard to ensure that this technology remains virtually unregulated. Meanwhile, we are already seeing some significant harms from this tech play out, including deepfake harassment, AI driven scams, unfair healthcare claim denial, and emotional relationships with chatbots leading to tragedy.
Public Citizen works with state lawmakers to pass common sense legislation to address some of the most obvious harms of unregulated AI technology. We develop model legislation and support state lawmakers through the process of getting these bills passed in their states.
Join our team to help create the guardrails that will keep people safe in this time of rapid technological change.
The ideal candidate will be self driven and passionate about creating safeguards to protect society from the harms of AI technology.
