Sarah Cinco

Healthy Port Communities Coalition Organizer

Sarah Cinco is a first-generation graduate from Rice University, where she earned degrees in Social Policy Analysis and Latin American & Latinx Studies. Growing up in Channelview, Texas—a predominantly Latino, low-income community—she witnessed firsthand the impact of industrial pollution and limited healthcare access on marginalized communities. Sarah brings policy, research, and public service experience from roles at local and federal levels. During her time at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, she worked on the Border Water Infrastructure Grant Program, ensuring communities along the U.S.-Mexico border have access to wastewater infrastructure and clean drinking water. She has led projects on healthcare and legal access, climate justice, and currently advances health outcomes for Houston Ship Channel communities as an Organizer for Public Citizen. Sarah also serves as a Youth Board Advisor for the Organization for Latino Health Advocacy.
