Rishab Bailey

Research Director, Digital Trade Alliance


Rishab Bailey is Research Director for the Digital Trade Alliance (DTA), a global collaborative of digital rights and consumer organizations that provide expertise and analysis to guide the transnational debate on digital trade and its impacts on privacy, responsible use of AI, and Big Tech accountability. He brings extensive experience as an advocate and technology policy researcher in India, focusing on issues concerning telecommunications regulation, protection of digital rights, platform regulation, and data governance. Rishab has worked at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, an autonomous research institute established by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, at the global software company ThoughtWorks, and has also been associated with a number of civil society organizations in India. He holds a BA LLB (Hons) degree from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, India and an advanced degree in law and digital technologies (cum laude) from the University of Leiden, Netherlands.
