Ilana Beller
Field Manager, Democracy Campaign
Ilana is a member of the democracy team at Public Citizen where she leads the national activist program and takes part in building a movement to rebuild, strengthen, and protect our democracy.
Before joining Public Citizen, she led electoral organizing programs for progressive candidates, most recently on the leadership team for a presidential candidate in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She was also part of the team of regional directors who led the grassroots program in 2019 that flipped the Virginia state legislature.
Ilana has always had a passion for helping young people build power and make their voices heard. She started her career leading large scale community leadership programs for young people living in underserved communities. She carries this experience with her and continues to create opportunities for young people to get involved in advocacy work in whatever role she takes on.
