Azza AbuDagga, MHA, Ph.D.
Health Services Researcher
Azza has been researching drug safety since she joined Public Citizen’s Health Research Group in December 2013. She is an expert in analyzing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System. She also conducts research studies related to inmates with serious mental illnesses in the criminal justice system, ethics in clinical trials, and health care professionals’ accountability using the National Practitioner Data Bank. She is a contributing author to Worst Pills, Best Pills News and Health Letter. Prior to joining Public Citizen, Azza worked as health researcher at various organizations including WellPoint, LeadingAge and IMPAQ International. She holds a doctorate in health policy and administration from the Pennsylvania State University and worked as a nursing instructor at the Palestine College of Nursing from 1997 to 2001. She holds a master’s degree of health administration from the Ohio State University. A Fulbright scholar, she holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing (with honors) from the Islamic University of Gaza.
