Nina Zeldes, MSc, Ph.D.

Health Researcher


Nina Zeldes, MSc, Ph.D., is a health researcher in Public Citizen’s Health Research Group focusing on health care policy, drug and medical device safety, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration oversight. As a health communication expert and patient advocate, her background is in structural and functional discrepancies within health care delivery and health insurance policies. Prior to joining Public Citizen, she worked at the National Center for Health Research in Washington, DC, where she was a Senior Fellow and Project Manager for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funded projects. Nina conducted her dissertation research on transnational patients in the U.S. health care system as a Visiting Scholar at the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics at Georgetown University. She holds a MSc from the University of Edinburgh and a Ph.D. in medical anthropology from Freie Universität Berlin.
