Public Citizen v. National Park Service (ballroom funding)

In May 2026, Public Citizen submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the National Park Service, seeking communications concerning the Trust for the National Mall’s acceptance and management of private donations to fund the White House ballroom. The statutory deadline for the National Park Service passed, without a response from the agency. We therefore filed suit to compel disclosure of the requested records.
