Republicans v. Democrats

During the 1998 election cycle, Republicans vastly out-raised Democrats. Through October 14th of this cycle, the Republican Party and Republican federal candidates raised $587 million, 31% more than the $449 million raised by the Democratic Party and its federal candidates.

During the same period in the 1994 election cycle, the Republican Party and Republican federal candidates raised $461.9 million, 24% more than the $373.8 million raised by the Democratic Party and its federal candidates.
