Sean Sherman is an attorney at Public Citizen Litigation Group, where he litigates public interest cases at all levels of the federal judiciary, including the U.S. Supreme Court. His practice areas include constitutional law, administrative law, civil rights, class actions, and open government.
Before joining the Litigation Group, Mr. Sherman was an associate at the New York law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Prior to that, Mr. Sherman clerked for the Honorable Thomas L. Ambro of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Honorable John G. Koeltl of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Sherman graduated with highest honors from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and a Notes Editor for The George Washington University Law Review. Mr. Sherman earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Sherman is a member of the bars of New York and Washington, DC, and is admitted to practice in numerous federal courts.
