Sammy Almashat, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Sammy Almashat is an expert on various aspects of pharmaceutical and medical device safety and policy, with a focus on the FDA; and occupational health, primarily related to federal and state OSHA oversight of workplace toxins and physical hazards. After finishing medical school at West Virginia University and an internship at the University of Florida, he completed a Preventive Medicine residency and M.P.H. degree at Johns Hopkins University where he also spent four months working as a resident at Public Citizen. Prior to joining the staff full-time, he also completed internships at the FDA, the Indian Health Service, and the Pew Health Group.
